PM Mold is seeking a highly motivated Lead Operator to help us take our Production department to the next level. This is a unique opportunity to directly impact our growing company.  Under the direction of the Shift Foreman, this position will be the role model and mentor to the operators/temporary workers, encouraging and contributing to a positive team environment.   • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of injection molding experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook and Word)
  • Basic knowledge with an ERP system
  • Experience within a team leadership/supervision role
  • Excellent communication and training skills
  • Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc.
  • Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and set up sheets
  • Extremely detailed-oriented with a quality-oriented mindset
  • Ability to improvise and adapt where needed


  • Train machine operators in fast-paced, state-of-the-art plastic injection molding and assembly manufacturing environment
  • Encourage and contribute to a positive team environment
  • Flawlessly execute meticulous instructions and procedures
  • Perform in-process quality inspections and final inspection for product in their assigned cell
  • Uphold attention to detail to identifying potential defective product as early as possible
  • Ensure all products are properly identified with the appropriate labels
  • Thorough documentation of the cells productivity and quality performance
  • Oversee 5 to 15 machine operators/temporary workers, and up to 15 injection molding machines per shift
  • Report and/or correct any safety-related concerns
  • Report discrepancies on any internal documentation, such as bills of materials, work orders, work instructions, inspection plans, etc.
  • Attend a shift change meeting daily and provide updates on the status of all jobs running in their assigned area


  • Ability to hear machine alarms
  • Good mobility, energy level and ability to routinely lift 50 pounds
  • Requires good visual acuity and the ability to detect visual changes in plastic
  • Able to climb ladders up to six feet
  • Good mobility for high physical activity including but not limited to reaching, standing, stooping, squatting & crawling to access material storage areas
